Overview: We're in search of a meticulous and skilled Process Engineer to join our vibrant manufacturing crew. The perfect candidate will boast a solid background in CNC programming, process refinement, and extensive knowledge of machining methodologies. As a CNC Process Engineer, you'll be pivotal in elevating production efficiency, ensuring top-notch quality, and driving overall process enhancement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive shop floor processes and guidelines to convey the precise setup and manufacturing procedures for producing products in accordance with specifications.
- Generate operation blueprints, setup sheets, and tool sheets.
- Craft and refine programs tailored for CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDM equipment.
- Assess existing programs and methodologies, devising new job processes and programs to guarantee optimal manufacturing practices for employed machinery.
- Conceptualize tooling and fixturing solutions for new or enhanced processes.
- Collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to enforce adherence to processes and achieve targeted cycle times.
- Stay abreast of emerging manufacturing and software technologies.
- Offer technical and operational support for both existing and newly acquired machinery.
- Harness our ERP system (Epicor) to generate travelers and craft operational instructions.
- Pinpoint root causes of failures utilizing statistical methods, and propose alterations in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience as a CNC machinist/programmer; experience in cutter grinding is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Okuma/Tsugami CNC machines is desirable.
- Proficiency in manufacturing principles, standards, and compliance.
- Competence in MS Office applications; willingness to become proficient in ERP & CRM systems.
- Familiarity with Epicor software is a plus.
- Proficiency with MASTER/CAM software; familiarity with Esprit Knowledge is advantageous.
- Proficiency with Solidworks software is beneficial.
- Capability to devise new designs or enhance existing component designs.
