What you are doing as an Associate Plastics Mechanical Engineer :



  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical components and products with a focus on plastics.

  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the viability of new product concepts.

  • Utilize engineering principles and design tools to create detailed product specifications and drawings.

  • Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle, ensuring designs meet performance, cost, and quality objectives.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate materials, including plastics, based on their mechanical properties and suitability for the intended application.

  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to oversee prototyping, testing, and validation processes.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance and manufacturing efficiency.

  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify materials, ensuring compliance with industry standards.


What you need as an Associate Plastics Mechanical Engineer:



  • BSME is required.

  • 1+ yeras as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on plastics. ( Internships and Co-Ops are considered )

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for designing and drafting.

  • Strong knowledge of materials science, particularly in plastics selection and applications.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.

  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20%
