Job Summary:

Raytheon Vision Systems ( RVS) is growing! We have an immediate opportunity for a talented, mid-career, Physical Vapor Deposition and Etch Process Engineer to join our 3D Integration and Imaging Sensors group. RVS is a world leader in Advanced Packaging and Materials Research and Development. Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Supporting fabrication operations by providing technical expertise in fabrication processes; working with a diverse team of Technicians and Engineers in a wafer fabrication clean room setting.
  • Maintaining current processes, optimizing existing processes, and training in safe and efficient operations of the Deposition and Etch process cells.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for the control, development and optimization of dep and etch processes and equipment.
  • Sustaining existing processes to meet product specifications & manufacturing process flows; maintaining operating instructions for process and equipment.
  • Maintaining statistical process controls for process optimization; trouble shoot and resolve process issues supporting the manufacturing process and improve work center process yields.
  • Research new suppliers and technologies for improving production, quality, end cost and throughput.
  • Working with R&D teams developing creative solutions and approaches for new designs in advanced packaging.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a STEM degree in a related field or equivalent experience and a minimum of 8 years in physical vapor deposition and etch vacuum systems. Or an advanced degree with 5 years of related experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a multi-tasking environment solving technical problems, taking project ownership, and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross functional teams to improve processes.
  • Verbal/written communications experience relaying process procedures, generating technical data summarizations, writing process and equipment specifications, and work instructions.
  • Experience interpreting detailed work requirements and organizing complex multi-level tasks.
  • Experience in a 200mm manufacturing environment.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
