Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This exciting role offers the opportunity to work on groundbreaking space hardware and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies. The successful candidate will be a crucial part of our team, driving process development, critical design review, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:

1. Leading the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes for space hardware and flight hardware using SolidWorks.
2. Conducting critical design reviews to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the manufacturing process.
3. Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production quality, capacity, and efficiency.
4. Collaborating with design engineers to develop deployable structures and mechanisms while supporting the manufacturing and assembly processes.
5. Identifying, evaluating, and resolving engineering-related production issues that may adversely affect the manufacturing process.
6. Developing and implementing process control techniques and procedures into manufacturing environments.
7. Analyzing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
8. Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Manufacturing Engineer position should have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field required; a Master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the space hardware or related industry.
3. Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software.
4. Demonstrated experience in process development and execution of critical design reviews.
5. Hands-on experience with flight hardware and deployable mechanisms.
6. Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
8. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
9. Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
