Job Description

The Fiberon DeckingProcess Engineer will be a key team member in the expansion of the New London manufacturing facility as we continue to improve production output by instilling World Class Manufacturing concepts.The Process Engineer is hands-on in process development, process controls, process layout and ergonomic design. You will have the opportunity to work with our experts in learning ourbusiness and extrusion process. You will work with new state-of-the-art equipment and robotics while also investigating opportunities to improve older equipment. The Process Engineer will have opportunity to continue career growth in our vibrant organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust advanced manufacturing processes and process improvements
  • Develop process documentation including one point lessons, visual aides, and work instructions
  • Develop, lead, and execute data-driven process improvement projects focused on OEE and safety
  • Apply engineering best practices across the site


Qualifications

  • BS degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial or similar
  • 5-10 years of experience in process support or technical support role
  • 2-5 years of direct manufacturing/ process engineering experience.
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement experience, including 3-5 years experience with Kaizen or 6 Sigma tools
  • Proficiency in project management tools & software
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities
  • Detailed knowledge in extrusion and material transfer
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated understanding of budgeting, cost management and resource allocation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or relevant industry-specific certifications a plus
  • Experience in PLC and/or DCS control system a plus

  • Strong project management skills
  • Twin screen profile extrusion experience,
  • Composite manufacturing experience
  • Polytheneexperience
