Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications • BS in Mechanical Engineering • 5+ years related design/engineering experience • Hands-on experience in the design, development and implementation of electro-mechanical products • Expertise in SolidWorks (preferred) or PTC Creo o 3D modeling of components and assemblies o 2D drawings for quote and fabrication • Knowledge in the design and application of technologies used in machine design, such as o Pneumatic actuators and control circuits o Motion control systems and hardware o Power transmission technologies o Industrial sensors and feedback systems o Machine Vision, cameras and optics o Dynamic and static sealing technologies (o-rings, bellows, rotary feedthroughs , etc ) o Computer hardware, software and networking technologies • Experience in controls engineering, electrical design, and programming is a plus o Machine wiring o PLC / HMI / SCADA systems o Industrial Robotics • Ability to respectfully work in a culturally diverse environment

Responsibilities:

JOB DESCRIPTION (functional responsibilities): This role provides engineering, design and integration support in a team specializing in the development of First-Of-A-Kind machinery for manufacturing and R&D as well as Application Engineering for E&I materials. This role will require executing a wide range of technical tasks; Some specific responsibilities will include • Conceptual development of First-Of-A-Kind machinery and robotic systems • Rapid prototyping, testing and refinement of conceptual designs • Detailed design of mechanical systems and hardware • Precision assembly and testing of complex mechatronic systems • Documenting and presenting designs and project updates within the team and to customers • Management of multiple tasks - for multiple stakeholders - with frequent changes in scope and priority • Adhering to safety standards and procedures • Programming of automated equipment This is an onsite position. Not remote.
