We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our chemical process and industrial plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start-up and certification. You will also assess processes, interpret data, and design systems and equipment. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to influence and shape the future of our company.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, monitor, and optimize process strategies in our industrial plant.
  • Utilize chemical process simulators and Aspen Plus to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Use Autodesk software for designing and drafting process systems.
  • Conduct process simulations and troubleshooting.
  • Oversee operational processes, ensuring that they comply with regulatory requirements and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure processes align with overall project objectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement preventative measures.
  • Lead Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies.
  • Direct reduction and other cost-saving measures.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in using chemical process simulators, Aspen Plus, and Autodesk software.
  • Solid experience in developing and interpreting Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Strong understanding of industrial plant operations.
  • Experience in conducting Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) studies.
  • Demonstrated experience in direct reduction and other cost-saving measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
  • Committed to ongoing professional development.
  • A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
