Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the successful operation of our manufacturing processes and quality assurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, controlling, and optimizing industrial processes, especially continuous ones within the chemical, transport, and industrial equipment industries.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, configure and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification
  • Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
  • Design, run, test and upgrade systems and processes
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Perform process simulations and troubleshooting
  • Provide process documentation and operating instructions
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
  • Conduct process audits and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce cost and cycle time, improve quality, and increase employee safety

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, material science or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering, preferably in the CPG manufacturing industry
  • Proven work experience with ISO 9001, FMEA, GMP, ERP Systems, 6 Sigma, and HACCP Certification
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies and statistical analysis
  • Solid experience in the application of engineering design principles
  • Excellent technical skills, including proficiency in using CAD software and other engineering tools
  • Strong understanding of chemical processes and equipment
  • Proficient in the use of statistical analysis software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Must be a certified Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Experience in process simulations
  • Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
  • CAD or AutoCAD skills
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
  • Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
