AECOM is seeking an Environmental Technician II for employment with our Remediation team in the Mechanicsburg PA office. The candidate will conduct soil and groundwater investigations and remediation projects in accordance with Comprehensive Environmental Response, compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, various NCDEQ Division of Waste Management Programs and other regulatory programs.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the completion of complex field tasks, including site investigations, soil and groundwater sample collection, remedial system operations and maintenance, and related work.

This is an entry level position for an environmental field technician with experience in soil and groundwater sampling. AECOM provides coaching and training for our employees to succeed in their current role and learn to expand their capabilities. The Remediation Business is growing and the need for an individual of this skill set is required.

The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:

Performing different groundwater and soil methods

Record/data keeping and general O&M of environmental remediation systems.

Assist with compliance with strict safety guidelines and the ability to work as part of a team with daily direction from project management.

Provide office support for data management, report preparation, and maintenance of the required AECOM-related documentation and forms.

This position will involve some travel, but long-term assignments are not a routine aspect of this position.
