Responsibilities Weatherford is hiring an Electrical Engineer for our West Hardy Road location in North Houston. The Electrical Engineer will be working within a supportive, inclusive team in a fast-paced, progressive environment. This role will lead the development of electronics for a new downhole LWD tool. The candidate should have experience in the design of digital, power, and analog circuit designs, and a solid understanding of electrical circuit theory. Downhole tool (MLWD and/or wireline) circuit design experience is preferred. This role will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to execute challenging engineering projects to plan. This role requires a candidate that can produce creative and efficient designs to meet product requirements and take ownership of the performance and reliability of those designs. It will involve a wide variety of tasks, including requirements definition, conceptual design, project planning, prototyping and testing, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and product documentation. Directing the work of other engineering and technical staff may be required.
Qualifications - Minimum 6+ years related experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in the design of digital, power, and analog circuit designs, and a solid understanding of electrical circuit theory
- Downhole tool (MLWD and/or wireline) circuit design experience
- Experience managing new product development of downhole tools is preferred
