What You Will Do

  • Perform a variety of patrol, security, emergency response and customer service duties at assigned location. 
  • Greet and log in all visitors and vendors at entrance gate 
    • Notify appropriate personnel or department of arrival 
    • Direct visitors and vendors to destination 
    • Enforce company policies and procedures 
  • Perform frequent patrols of the property 
    • Walk, bicycles, or drives vehicle on irregularly scheduled rounds of property 
    • Observe conditions of equipment, grounds and facilities 
    • Pick up litter or debris as needed, or arranges clean-up with maintenance crews 
    • Report damages or areas in need of repair to the Maintenance Supervisor 
  • Conduct surveillance of locations or areas in which vandalism or criminal activities have been noted 
  • Assist with and trained for emergency situations 
    • Collaborate with police officers in the prevention of crime 
    • Work with fire response units for fire suppression, and with medical emergency response units in the event of emergency situations, at the assigned location 
  • Provide basic emergency medical response (e.g. performs CPR, gives basic first aid) when needed 
  • Perform other duties as required 

What You Bring To Freeport

  • Current CPR and first aid certifications, as required by specific site location 
  • Skilled in responding appropriately to emergency and conflict situations 
  • Knowledge of site rules, regulations, policies and procedures 
  • Knowledgeable of the site topography and locations of emergency equipment and access points 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing 

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Prior security or law enforcement experience or working in mine setting 
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts on day and night and able to work weekends or holidays any day of week on 12.5-hour work shifts
  • Must possess a valid driver's license 
  • Ability to use basic MS software and ability to understand and use different program applications 
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing 
  • Experience in emergency response and use of two-way radio 

What We Offer You  

 

The estimated pay range for this role is currently $15.00 - $20.00hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance.
