AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Oakland, CA office.

This position accommodates a hybrid working scenario allowing for a balance between in-office presence for collaboration sessions as well as work from home on a weekly basis.

We are seeking an individual who has a strong background in facilities-related mechanical engineering and HVAC design. The ideal candidate understands and has proven track record in design quality, project delivery, and has the ability to convey innovative design thinking and solutions.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

Key Responsibilities:

Apply a wealth of engineering expertise, leveraging experience-driven techniques and procedures, to orchestrate the design and implementation of HVAC, plumbing systems and equipment within building frameworks, utilizing building information modeling.

Collaborate across disciplines to integrate HVAC and plumbing systems seamlessly, contributing to the creation of comprehensive building system designs.

Perform construction inspection and observation on active construction projects and create detailed reports.

Lead the review and refinement of established engineering standards, techniques, and practices pertinent to building design and building information modeling.

Actively engage in the formulation of proposal responses, project planning, and proactive staffing and talent acquisition strategies.

Development of system related narratives (technical writing, organizing the document, development of graphics)

Effectively articulate intricate system solutions in initial design phases, aiding internal development or sharing externally with design partners.

Proficiently employ Autodesk tools like REVIT and CAD, optimizing their functionalities within the project framework.

Foster interdisciplinary partnerships by coordinating mechanical system designs with electrical engineers, architects, and diverse design professionals.

Oversee the review and enhancement of technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision in all project facets.

Engage with a dynamically diverse array of market segments, clients, and subcontractors, fostering productive working relationships.
