Where You Will Work   

Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Description

The Data & Analytics Platform Administration team manages the configuration and support activities for the environments and infrastructure that enable the company’s data solutions. This includes the support of various data pipeline tools, the Snowflake data platform, Azure Machine Learning, Data Factory and other Azure services, and Business Intelligence tools, particularly Power BI. As a Systems Integrator on the team, you would be responsible for the health, monitoring, and support of these systems, as well as consulting with product development teams to aid in platform-related decision making when designing new or enhanced solutions. 
 
  • Work with Freeport-McMoRan business units to identify and document business/systems requirements and processes, frequently involving several business areas
  • Work with Freeport-McMoRan business units, the Infrastructure Group and other applications development groups or Freeport-McMoRan customers to define system scope and objectives based on user needs
  • Analyze business and systems needs in terms of programming requirements
  • Identify and evaluate alternative solutions to defined problems and recommend the most appropriate course of action
  • Conduct detailed analysis of defined systems specifications and develop associated design documentation with general supervision
  • Select, configure, integrate and implement packaged software solutions where appropriate with general supervision
  • Develop, test, implement and support custom business applications and automated solutions with general supervision
  • Evaluate and modify existing programs to take into account changes in system requirements, business requirements, equipment configurations or inefficiencies
  • Identify and document procedures for the installation and maintenance of specified business applications
  • Assist in the planning and timing of functional product releases for internally developed or packaged solutions
  • Provide technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems following identified policies and procedures
  • Perform project management duties as necessary under general supervision
  • Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with external development partners; Analyze and review specifications both from internal and external sources
  • Assist in the adoption of global Freeport-McMoRan standards and methodologies for software development

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in applications development, integration and support
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the software development life cycle

  • Position is in busy, non-smoking office located in downtown Phoenix, AZ
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator
  • Work for hours at a time in front of a computer and keyboard utilizing Microsoft desktop tools
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to ten (10) pounds

What We Offer You 

The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently $89,000 - $125,000. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
