About the role

Advanced role. Acknowledged business process subject matter expert (SME) and authority within organization and/or company. Develops large and/or complex business process solutions that cross business, technical, functional and client domains. Can effectively communicate at the client level: promotes, presents, analyzes and/or trains process to client staff, leaders and executives. Participates in and contributes to new business pursuit for clients with stated business process requirements, requests, questions or needs.

About the team

FIS is hiring within the Capital Markets, Business Process Services (BPS) division. The position will reside within a new Operations Engineering team, whose scope of work is to Drive Operational Efficiencies & Discipline Across BPS. The initial team will consist of 7 members driving change within business service functions spread out globally. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and learn as this team redesigns business processes through standardization, simplification, and the implementation of automation solutions.

What you will be doing

Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives, e.g., Business Process Management (BPM) , Lean or Six Sigma.

Responsible for most complex business and systems process analysis, design and simulation.

Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.

Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.

Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.

Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.

Collects data to identify root cause of problems.

Measures performance against process requirements.

Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.

Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.

May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.

Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.

May lead re-engineering team and act as project manager.

Communicates team progress.

Performs cost and benefit analyses.

Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring

Broad knowledge of FIS' products and services, business practices and processes

Typically requires 8 or more years of demonstrated business process analysis/consulting experience and at least three process improvement projects as the project lead.

Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification required.

Requires highest level understanding of organization's business systems and industry requirements.

In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations and processes

Basic knowledge of one or more end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development and conversion methodologies (e.g. SAFe Agile, SDLC)

Advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering.

Advanced proficiency in one or more appropriate process methodology, e.g., BPM, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile

Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

Excellent training/presentation skills to educate the organization on new or updated processes

Willingness to shares relevant technical, process, and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources

Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills

Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take

Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed

Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

Bonus if you have led operational efficiency efforts that had a technological solution, i.e. automation of processes using RPA or some form of AI.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $84,720.00 - $(phone number removed) and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay.
