Direct hire opening with our client for a Rolling Process Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, metallurgical engineering, or material science, along with 1 to 3 years of experience in the steel industry. In this role, you will play a key role in resolving multi-discipline problems, optimizing processes, and ensuring the efficient operation of rolling mills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide technical support for hot rolling operations, including troubleshooting process issues and implementing solutions to improve performance and efficiency.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address multi-discipline problems related to rolling processes, equipment, and materials.

Conduct process evaluations and optimization studies to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.

Monitor process parameters and performance metrics to ensure product quality, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety standards.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for rolling operations.

Participate in the design and implementation of new rolling processes, equipment upgrades, and technology advancements.

Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations to identify and address issues affecting production.

Provide training and guidance to production staff on rolling process techniques, best practices, and safety protocols.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Material Science.

1 to 3 years of experience in the steel industry, with a focus on hot rolling operations.

Strong understanding of rolling processes, equipment, and materials.

Proficiency in problem-solving techniques and root cause analysis methodologies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
