Title:

Senior Electrical Engineer Airport Construction Inspection

Client:

The Electrical Engineer will work for our client, a leading civil engineering firm, established in 1999 and voted as one of the Top 25 Engineering firms by NJ Biz. This firm has steadily grown based on a solid reputation for providing quality service. The diverse staff includes a team of respected engineers and inspectors throughout NJ and NY. Efforts include some of the largest transportation projects in the New York Metropolitan area such as the Raising of the Bayonne Bridge, Tappan Zee Hudson River Crossing, NJ Turnpike Widening, and Fulton Street Transit Center.

Description:

Reporting to the Senior Engineer of Construction at Newark Airport's field office. The scope of the work will be inspection of installation of airport lighting systems, 5K volt systems, electrical substations, high tension work, etc.

Responsibilities:

Inspection of airport lighting installation

Inspection of construction of 5K V systems, electrical substations, and regulator work

Inspection of construction of high-tension work, fiber optic systems, communication infrastructure systems, fire alarms, and other electrical based systems.

Qualifications:

This is for three (3) Electrical Inspectors with minimum 10 years of experience or more inspecting electrical installation and construction at Newark and Teterboro airports. All degrees and certifications MUST be documented and submitted to the client along with the resume.

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 10 years of experience inspecting electrical construction and installation work.

Airport construction experience would be desirable.

Ability to pass a SWAC background check at a high level.

Valid driver's license required.

Night and weekend shifts ARE REQUIRED.

Trained in LOTO, fall protection, confined space and permit required, confined space OSHA and 30-hour OSHA construction safety training required.

Electrical licenses and certifications desired - NJ DCA Electrical Inspector License, NICET certifications - Electrical Power Testing, and Fire Alarms Level III

BSEE Electrical Engineering
