Job Description:

Payrate: up to $50- 60.50/hr., depending on experience.

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support our Oil & Gas client in downtown Houston. This is an onsite assignment and could go fulltime with the client during or at the end of the assignment.

This role will be reviewing existing PSV calculations, identifying potential concerns and provide mitigation packages for identified items.

The responsibilities of the Process Engineer include designing and recognizing patterns, collecting data, implementing methodologies, and providing mitigation packages to field engineers for project execution.

Ultimately, the role is to review existing designs to confirm PSVs are adequately sized and provide recommendations, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

Evaluate existing facilities (PSVs) for relieving capacities.

Identify applicable pressure safety valves (PSV) case studies per applicable codes.

Communicate with internal operation teams and 3rd-party vendors to gather required information for PSV calculations.

Create process simulations and conduct risk assessments.

Perform process analysis and provide mitigation packages for project execution team.

Documenting all created processes and updating and maintaining these documents as changes occur.

Skills Required / Qualifications:

Preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent

Preferred Familiarity with API 521, API 520, API 2000 and/or API 2510

Experience with process simulation software - Honeywell UniSim, HYSYS, Promax, etc.

2 or more years of technical experience with PSV calculations or working within a chemical plant.

Experience in coordinating with internal teams and vendors in a technical environment.

Proven success in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management.

Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
