Coordinate and control operation for all mining activities
at the Grasberg Block Cave (GBC) including lateral, vertical and mass
excavation development. Coordinate all
mucking activities in the GBC. Work with
all departments such as Underground Safety, Maintenance, Electric Engineering,
and Geology to ensure the activities are executed safely and the targets are
achieved in compliance with company policies, procedures, goals, and
objectives.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Conduct daily and weekly meetings to communicate
company's safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures in order to
promote subordinates awareness of safety and environmental issues, especially
working in the Underground, which has a high-risk environment.
2. Coordinate and control operation activities to ensure the
executions are safe and achieve the determined target.
3. Coordinate and control materials and equipment planning
and preparation (liaise with material management group), before all activities
are begun, to provide sufficient support for all planned activities (i.e.
development activities and other projects within the underground expansion).
4. Coordinate with other divisions (e.g. Material
Management, Central Service Engineering, Surface Mine, Security & Risk
Management, Social Local Development, GTS, etc.) in order to support the
continuity of production and achieve the targets.
5. Coordinate the preventive maintenance schedule and
damages of all equipment in coordination with other department (i.e. Mine
Maintenance) to better support the operation activities.
6. Prepare and submit daily report for all underground expansion
operational activities.
7. Monitor and evaluate the work being done and comply with
the quality standard of PT Freeport Indonesia.
8. Monitor and evaluate performance and potential
capabilities of subordinates, to contribute the development of professional
team.
9. Conduct daily field monitoring especially in critical/dangerous
times and areas. Liaise with the Safety
department to identify and control the condition of manpower and environment,
in order to ensure the crews work safely and in compliance with the determined
plan.
