Job Description:
The main function of a Process Engineer is to drive the development of New Processes, Equipment and Materials for Display and Optics Integration and contribute to the core expertise of a world-class engineering team. Combining process, equipment and materials research problems, plan projects, and lead the execution. Development of state-of-the-art processes and prototypes will require intersection of Client materials, mechanical, electrical, and software.
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Optics, Mechanical and Materials Engineers to manage the development of processes and equipment for implementation into a product.
Design and develop equipment for automated Active Alignment in US lab.
Design and execute efforts to validate existing processes for the production of quality and conforming parts.
Lead the production of parts using developed processes on a schedule with tight timelines, with a focus on design for manufacturability.
Specify and operate analytical equipment used in process development.
Identify and solve blocking issues for designers and engineers, maximizing their efficiency by ensuring they have the manufacturing tools and information they need.
Perform failures analysis on non-conforming data to determine root cause and drive a plan to improve.
Support some builds at factories to understand challenges in factory to implement in equipment/process designs.
Bring up laboratory for prototyping in US labs.
Skills:
Automated equipment design, FAT/SAT and troubleshooting
Optical instrumentation familiarity and basic knowledge of measurement techniques
Ability to track and organize documentation, experiment results, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work-in-progress (WIP) logs
Experience scaling processes from research to pilot-production or mass manufacture, and implementing quality control procedures to resolve processing problems
Ability to design and implement process development plans, design of experiments (DOE), establishing critical process parameters and quality control strategies
Must-have skills:
