We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Utilities to join our team.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The position entails overseeing the management of data and driving improvements pertaining to utilities such as steam, chilled water, process water, compressed air, fire suppression systems, electricity, natural gas, and wastewater.
  • This includes assessing new and existing utility requirements, designing and optimizing facility layout and critical operational systems, and overseeing infrastructure and utilities equipment projects.
  • Developing and implementing utilities plans, performing system evaluations, and establishing operational efficiency are also key responsibilities.
  • Additionally, the role involves identifying and mitigating utility issues for existing facilities through sound engineering and process improvement.
  • Provide technical recommendations for installations in new facilities, analyzing project costs and preparing budgets, supporting design and oversight of facility expansions, layouts, and various utilities systems, developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation, and planning and coordinating infrastructure and utilities equipment project schedules and activities.
  • The position also entails coordinating and overseeing contractors, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards, preparing reports and compliance documentation, and developing a yearly plan for powered industrial vehicle leases, purchases, and maintenance contracts.
  • This includes initiating, reviewing, and finalizing all leases for power industrial vehicles, monitoring and evaluating aged fleet, and providing yearly plans for each plant throughout the network.
  • The role also involves monitoring and owning power industrial vehicles' monitoring systems throughout the network and providing weekly behavior reports to all plant managers, as well as providing guidelines for all vehicle preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, with 1-3 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer, Utilities Engineer, Facilities Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • The candidate must also possess experience with steam boilers, air compressors, and power industrial vehicles such as Front End Loaders, Forklifts, and yard trucks.
  • The candidate must have experience in reviewing contracts and leases from initiation to termination, and hold a preferred state-approved Boiler/Engineers License.
  • The ideal candidate should have knowledge of mechanical equipment, electrical, plumbing, water utilities, distribution systems, and controls, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Moreover, the candidate should have knowledge of the building process and construction principles, as well as relevant regulations and building codes
    Experience in cGMP is desirable.
  • Fully competent in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint
    It will be an added advantage if the candidate can use Microsoft Project, Visio, and AutoCAD.
  • The candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, and project management skills.
