Job Description:

The Electrical Project Engineer will support the Senior E/I Engineer in implementing and advancing the site's electrical reliability program. This role will serve as a key technical resource, providing expertise in electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and new equipment specification.


Electrical Project Engineer Key Responsibilities:

• Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) Intools Management: Oversee, manage, and maintain the SPI Intools database.

• Preventive Maintenance (PM) Development: Develop and review electrical and instrumentation PM tasks, establishing appropriate execution frequencies.

• KPI Development: Create and maintain corporate dashboards to track key electrical and instrumentation performance indicators (KPIs).

• Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on electrical equipment and instrumentation to drive continuous improvement.

• Technology Integration: Ensure the site utilizes the most effective, economical, and reliable technologies to meet business and customer needs.

• Best Practices Implementation: Continuously explore and implement new technologies and industry best practices to improve site asset reliability.

• Change Management: Drive improvements through the Management of Change (MOC) process.

• Audit Compliance: Address and close gaps identified in electrical and instrumentation programs through audits.

• Project Management: Plan, execute, and manage electrical and instrumentation projects.

• Instrumentation Calculations: Perform instrument calculations using Conval software.



Requirements:

Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical and/or instrumentation engineering.
  • Leadership: 5+ years of experience supervising electrical and/or instrumentation technicians in a manufacturing setting (preferred).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) Intools and Conval software preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electronics and Electric Engineering
  • Location: Candidates should be within daily commuting distance of St. James, LA.
