As an EE Engineer, you will utilize unique skills to specify, design, and validate complex electrical / electronic systems for heavy-duty, off-highway vehicles. These systems serve as a complex neural network, providing reliable avenues for the power distribution, logic, and communication necessary to enable world class vehicle designs.
YOUR IMPACT
- You will prepare layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material
- You will utilize Creo 3D modeling software integrated with software such as Routed Systems Designer to manage or develop wiring schematics, wiring harnesses, and electronic components
- You will ensure design compliance to various regulations and standards across multiple regions and markets
- You will select and/or design components for function, cost, reliability, and manufacturability
- You will interact directly with suppliers
- You will interact with various other engineering groups and disciplines within the organization
- You will work closely with controls / software engineers and communicate associated design implications and requirements involving electrical / electronic systems design
- You will utilize multimeters / oscilloscopes, Controller Area Network (CAN) tools, and proprietary programming tools for design, validation, and interrogation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or similar associated discipline
- 3 years of applicable industry engineering experience STANDOUT
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with off-highway or automotive vehicles
- Multi-faceted knowledge of vehicle electronic, hydraulic, and powertrain systems
- Experience with electric vehicles
- Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces
- Working knowledge of Controller Area Networks (CAN), such as SAE J1939
