We are seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to support plant operations, maintenance, and project execution. This role involves leading mechanical design, troubleshooting equipment, and improving system reliability across a fast-paced, high-volume production environment. Ideal candidates will bring a strong background in industrial equipment, mechanical systems, and plant engineering.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.


Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, or metals-related environments.
  • Proven experience with equipment design, plant operations, and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical assembly, and material flow systems.
  • Hands-on experience in environments involving fabrication, machinery installation, or mechanical infrastructure upgrades
  • Experience designing or supporting bulk powder processing, ventilation systems, or processing plant utilities is a strong plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.


Essential Duties:

  • Assist with the design, analysis, and implementation of mechanical components, piping systems, and HVAC infrastructure to support production.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure plant equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and other CAD tools to create and modify technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications.
  • Support ongoing and future capital projects including installations, upgrades, and equipment fabrication.
  • Conduct thermal analysis, FEA, and root cause investigations to resolve mechanical failures and optimize system performance.
  • Assist with the preventative and predictive maintenance strategies using CMMS platforms.
  • Assist in developing solutions for bulk material handling, dust collection systems, and utilities including steam, compressed air, and chilled water.
  • Support automation systems and participate in integration of new technologies to improve plant processes.
  • Perform equipment inspections, machinery troubleshooting, and part replacements to minimize downtime in a heavy industrial environment.
  • Engage in process improvement initiatives using lean tools and continuous improvement methods.
  • Work with vendors to source parts and components in line with project requirements and industry standards.
