We're looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a mission-driven team creating high-precision instruments used in neuroscience and medical research. If you have a passion for designing intricate components and working closely with scientists to bring complex ideas to life, this role offers meaningful, hands-on impact.

What You'll Do:
- Own the mechanical design process from concept to delivery (70% design, 30% documentation)
- Work closely with researchers to translate technical needs into product solutions
- Create precise, small-scale parts using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with external machining partners and oversee product quality
Must Haves:
- Bachelor's in Engineering (Mechanical strongly preferred)
- 3-5+ years of experience designing highly precise components
- SolidWorks proficiency (or similar CAD software)
- Experience with motion control systems and working within tight tolerances
- Knowledge of machining processes, GD&T, and both metal & plastic part design
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in the medical device field
- Familiarity with BOM creation and product documentation processes
