Senior Electro Mechanical Design Engineer

9+ Month W2 Contract

Onsite in Newton, MA

We are seeking a Senior Electro Mechanical Design Engineer to join our R&D team on a 9+ month W2 contract and contribute to the development of our next-generation robotic platform, shaping the future of healthcare. This role involves designing, testing, and verifying complex electromechanical assemblies within a regulated medical device environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of complex DV fixtures from concept to release
• Support product-level design and identify improvements in DV fixtures
• Develop firmware/software requirements for fixtures
• Author technical documentation and verification test plans
• Perform fixture qualifications and process validation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors for procurement

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in electromechanical system R&D
• Bachelor's/Master's in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Robotics Engineering
• Experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace)
• Hands-on experience in the design, assembly, and testing of electro-mechanical systems
• Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks preferred), PLM software, and GD&T standards
• Experience with DFM/A, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis (Minitab a plus)
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
