Job Description:
- Oversee cross-functional technical efforts to modernize and maintain sonar transmit hardware-systems that generate the high-energy acoustic pulses at the heart of undersea detection.
- Collaborate closely with U.S. Navy stakeholders, internal engineering teams, and external system integrators to ensure these advanced systems perform with precision under demanding operational conditions.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline; Master's preferred.
- 8+ years of relevant experience (6+ with Master's).
- Proven technical leadership of cross-discipline teams in analog/power or embedded hardware domains.
- Deep understanding of power electronics, analog circuits, and linear amplifier design.
- Experience with electro-mechanical systems, high-voltage analog hardware, and ruggedized circuit design.
- Skilled in system integration testing at various levels (unit, subassembly, full system).
- Proficiency in creating and reviewing technical documentation and design packages.
- Experience troubleshooting complex hardware in lab and production environments.
- Working knowledge of Linux, hardware debugging tools, and lab instrumentation.
Desired:
- Experience with high-speed digital design, FPGAs, and embedded processors.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAE tools and mechanical packaging considerations.
- Background in acoustics, sonar systems, or defense-related hardware.
- Knowledge of MIL-STD compliance and DoD program practices.
