LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening a Mechanical Engineer for our client in the York, PA area. This direct hire role allows you to expand your mechanical engineering career within a stable collaborative and thriving organization. This on-site position requires a minimum of three years' current experience and a proven high proficiency in working with design and prints in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks. Successful candidates will have proven PLC Ladder logic and structured text experience.
Salary range: $100,000.00 - $120,000
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for concept, design and layout of new and/or upgrades to equipment.
- Works as a collaborative team member applying mechanical engineering principles to develop design solutions for machine control.
- Reviews, test and confirms electrical and mechanical systems and component's capabilities.
- Prepares engineering reports, calculations and checks drawings for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with vendors as well as suppliers to identify electrical components/assemblies that comply with machine requirements and specifications.
- Installation and troubleshooting equipment as needed.
- Aid in the development of operation manuals and other pertinent documentation as needed.
- Conceptualize and support prototype builds.
- Collaborates in design, development, testing and reports for new product development (NPD) projects.
- Aid in creation of bid requests, BOM,s and SOPs.
- Aid in bidding and vendor selection process and procedure.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Required - bachelor's degree in mechanical, electromechanical engineering or electrical engineering technology in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant mechanical equipment operation and machine design; ability to read and decipher schematics and blueprints
- Experience in the mineral or chemical industries a plus
- Minimum 2-5 years of related mechanical engineering experience.
- PLC ladder logic and structured text experience preferred.
- HMI graphics and scripting experience preferred.
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks experience.
- A current working knowledge of electromechanical systems, troubleshooting, and design.
- Experience with application of various sensor technologies.
- Familiarity with user interface technology, HMIs - touch-screen displays.
- Self-motivated and innovative, yet an exceptional product development team player.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
