Mechanical Engineer

Tulsa, Oklahoma Full-Time


About Us:

Our client are a leader in designing and manufacturing advanced logging tools and equipment for the Oil & Gas, and geotechnical industries. Our innovative technologies provide critical data for downhole environments, ensuring efficiency and reliability in the field. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with expertise in designing components that can withstand high-pressure downhole conditions.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test mechanical components for downhole logging tools.
  • Ensure designs meet extreme pressure, temperature, and corrosive environment requirements.
  • Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs and simulations.
  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to integrate mechanical components into complete systems.
  • Perform structural, thermal, and fluid analysis using FEA and other engineering tools.
  • Assist in prototype fabrication and testing in lab and field conditions.
  • Conduct failure analysis and implement design improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design for high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in CAD design software and FEA analysis tools.
  • Experience with materials selection for extreme downhole conditions.
  • Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry, specifically in downhole tool design.
  • Familiarity with API and industry standards for downhole applications.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping and field testing.
