Job Description:

We are a leading architectural and engineering firm in Nashville, TN, specializing in designing innovative and efficient spaces for a variety of industries. Our projects include hospitals, medical offices, schools, retail spaces, and restaurants. We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our collaborative team and contribute to the successful design and implementation of electrical systems in diverse projects.


Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems for commercial, healthcare, educational, and retail buildings, ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Develop electrical plans, specifications, and layouts for power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, and low-voltage systems.
  • Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to integrate electrical designs seamlessly.
  • Perform load calculations, lighting calculations, and short-circuit analysis.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to ensure designs are implemented correctly.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in commercial, healthcare, or institutional projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain licensure in Tennessee.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microstation and electrical design software.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
