Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8 to 12 years of experience developing products in senior-level electronic engineering roles.
• Proven experience in independent design and developing digital, analog, and microcontroller-based systems.
• Proficiency with simulation/modeling tools (e.g., LTSPICE, MATLAB).
• Expertise with CAD tools for schematic creation and PCB design; board layout experience is a plus.
• Competence in coding and debugging: experience with bare-metal microcontroller firmware, embedded Linux, and Python tooling.
• Experience with Xilinx SoC/FPGA programming is a big plus
• Hands-on approach supporting designs throughout the product lifecycle, including troubleshooting and resolving field issues.
• Experience supporting products in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive the development of new electro-optical products and support existing products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with faulty products, recommend enhancements, and implement necessary design changes.
• Develop test procedures, protocols, and corrective action plans.
• Design, prototype, and produce electronic systems, including circuit design, PCB layout, firmware development, and system validation.
• Support manufacturing operations, ensuring seamless transitions from development to production.
• Take ownership of system-level architecture and mentor junior engineers.

Role Summary

As a Principal Electrical Engineer at N-Vision Optics, you will contribute to all product lifecycle stages, from conceptual design and development to production and post-production support. Your role will involve close collaboration with the internal team and external partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs. You will also play a key role in maintaining design integrity, managing component obsolescence, and transitioning new designs into production.
