I'm looking for a talented Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to help shape the success of our groundbreaking aircraft. You will play a key role in designing and developing systems that will redefine air travel.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to act as the primary expert in the design and development of our vehicle's electrical harness and avionics enclosures. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating electrical and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance, weight efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Harness & Enclosure Design: Lead the design and optimization of the vehicle's electrical harness and avionics enclosures, focusing on performance, manufacturability, and thermal management.
- System Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring compatibility and reliability across all subsystems.
- Feasibility & Analysis: Perform in-depth analyses including electrical system performance, thermal modeling, and stress analysis for enclosures.
- CAD & Simulation: Utilize CAD (CATIA) and simulation tools (such as ANSYS) to develop detailed designs, create manufacturing drawings, and validate system performance.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Collaboration: Partner with suppliers and manufacturing teams to define technical specifications, source components, and manage production processes to ensure quality and on-time delivery.
- Testing & Validation: Support system-level testing, analyze results, and make necessary design improvements to enhance durability, safety, and overall performance.
- Innovation & Process Improvement: Stay up to date with advancements in electrical and mechanical design and materials, driving innovation within the team. Continuously refine best practices and documentation for harness and enclosure development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing electrical harnesses and enclosures, ideally within the aerospace or automotive industries.
- Expertise in CATIA, specifically in electrical routing and enclosure design.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, thermal management, and materials used in harnesses and enclosures.
- Experience with simulation tools like ANSYS for thermal and structural analysis.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a track record of developing creative solutions within demanding timeframes.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment, ensuring alignment across diverse engineering teams
