Job Description:

About the Firm:

We're a tight-knit team of mechanical engineers with a big vision. Based in New York, our firm may be small in size, but we're making a bold impact in the world of new construction, particularly in the commercial and residential high-rise space. With a reputation for precision, innovation, and quality, we're blazing a trail and taking on some of the most exciting new builds shaping the skyline.

The Opportunity:

We're looking for a Mechanical Engineer who's ready to roll up their sleeves and join us at the forefront of high-rise design and development. This is a hands-on role where you'll gain exposure to every stage of the project lifecycle from concept and schematic design all the way through construction administration. You'll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with licensed Professional Engineers who collectively bring over 45 years of industry expertise to the table. If you're hungry to grow, this is a team where mentorship is a core part of the culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Participate in the full mechanical design lifecycle for high-rise commercial and residential projects
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and project managers to develop coordinated design solutions
  • Prepare detailed HVAC system designs, load calculations, equipment sizing, and specifications
  • Conduct site visits and support construction administration as needed
  • Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to ensure designs are executed correctly
  • Stay current with local codes, industry trends, and new technologies

What We're Looking For:

  • 4-6 years of mechanical design experience, ideally with exposure to large-scale vertical construction
  • Proven experience working through full project lifecycles
  • Solid understanding of HVAC systems and mechanical building services
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with energy modeling software is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and take ownership of your work
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; EIT or PE license a plus

What You'll Get:

  • Direct mentorship from PEs with decades of experience
  • A key seat at the table in a growing firm making real moves in the NYC market
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
  • A company culture that values growth, teamwork, and technical excellence
  • Flexible work from home schedule "the more you deliver the more flexible it becomes"
