Senior Mechanical Engineer - Los Angeles

EVONA has partnered with an exciting company based in LA who are at the forefront of cutting edge space tech! You'd be joining a well established team of engineers and focusing on the full product lifecycle of deployable solars.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, build, and test structures and process components for ultimate use on the Lunar surface
• Define & justify system requirements, conduct trade space analysis, document decision processes, and write operational procedures
• Interface with adjacent teams to cohesively integrate hardware with supporting subsystems

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Experience with CAD and detailed engineering calculations/analysis
• Demonstrated ability to own projects from start to finish
• High levels of personal agency & productivity
• Evidence of exceptional engineering ability
• A desire to make Humans a multi-planet species

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in a technical field
• Experience with design of hardware for space applications
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Precision electric drive mechanisms
• Functional qualification testing for space applications
• Thermal management systems for space applications
• Track record of providing innovative solutions
• Excellent first principles reasoning
• A strong desire to make Humans a multi-planet species
