Job Description:

DYMENSO is a fast-paced, innovative company located in San Francisco. We engineer and manufacture custom vacuum electronic devices for research, medical applications and industrial systems. Our projects build on an extensive technology portfolio ranging from ultra-high precision mechanical alignment techniques to advanced manufacturing processes. Operating out of San Francisco, California, and equipped with latest simulation tools and high-end manufacturing machines, Dymenso supplies highly engineered vacuum electronics devices to customers worldwide.


The Role


Position available open to Mechanical Engineer with creative and analytical mind. Requires strong mechanical problem-solving skills and an aptitude for developing quality engineering solutions. The position requires a dynamic and multifunctional individual who is knowledgeable of full-cycle engineering/manufacturing processes. He/she will work together as a team with engineering the projects and be the overall liaison between the in-house manufacturing team. This person should have general engineering expertise and be open to collaborate in a team environment.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Proficient in SolidWorks


Preferred Qualifications

  • Precision engineering and manufacturing experience
  • Solid understanding of vacuum components, material properties and machine design
  • Thermal analysis experience
  • Structural analysis experience
  • Good analytical skills and knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) preferably with ANSYS software experience
  • CFD analysis experience (Fluent preferred)
  • Manufacturing experience and knowledge of CAM tools
  • Skilled in documenting activities and maintaining records
  • Good understanding of standards and geometric tolerancing
  • Ability to manage time, resources and vendors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing
