Job Overview:


We are seeking a Senior PV Engineer with extensive experience in utility-scale solar projects (100MW+), substations, and transmission systems. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the design, development, and execution of large-scale photovoltaic (PV) projects, ensuring efficient and reliable energy generation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the electrical design and engineering of utility-scale PV projects (100MW+), ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise on substation and transmission interconnections, including power system studies and grid compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including developers, EPCs, utilities, and regulatory bodies.
  • Conduct electrical system analyses, including load flow, short circuit, arc flash, grounding, and voltage drop studies.
  • Support procurement by evaluating electrical components, reviewing vendor specifications, and ensuring compatibility with system requirements.
  • Participate in site visits as needed (typically a few times per quarter) to oversee construction, testing, and commissioning.
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure designs align with budget, timeline, and operational goals.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in utility-scale solar PV engineering.
  • Strong background in substation design, transmission systems, and interconnection processes.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, SKM, CYMCAP, or similar software.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, and other relevant codes and standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PE license is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
