Job Title: Electronics Engineer IV

Salary: $150,000 - $165,000 (plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Engineer IV to join our team in Plainview, NY. This role involves designing and developing advanced switch mode power supplies and magnetic components, such as transformers and inductors. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DC/DC converter topologies and be capable of performing detailed circuit and thermal analyses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop switch mode power supplies and magnetic components.
• Conduct worst-case circuit and thermal analyses.
• Evaluate new technologies for power electronics.
• Address engineering and maintenance concerns.
• Provide design engineering support for emergent issues.
• Formulate design concepts and define project scope.
• Participate in project planning and implementation.
• Monitor project scope and manage changes using project management processes.
• Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and work instructions.
• Lead technical studies and projects.
• Accurately record and store test measurements, data, and results.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proficiency in SPICE software (Advanced).
• Intermediate skills in CAD software and MathWorks MATLAB.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with integration testing and hardware testing methods.
• 10 years of related experience with a BS degree, or 6 years with an MS degree.
• A BS or BA degree in a related field is typically required.
