Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and analysis projects across industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities. This role involves working independently or collaboratively to deliver innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop concepts, perform design, and conduct analysis for projects such as manufacturing processes, boiler plants, chilled water plants, HVAC systems, and combined heat and power plants.
  • Meet with clients to define project scope, gather background data, and identify equipment preferences.
  • Conduct facility energy audits and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, liaise with contractors, and interface with code officials.
  • Identify optimal solutions for customer needs and challenges.
  • Select appropriate equipment using manufacturers' data.
  • Create and refine designs using 3D AutoCAD.
  • Develop and edit technical specifications and construction cost estimates.
  • Apply knowledge of mechanical and electrical codes and construction methods.
  • Provide construction administration, including answering contractor inquiries and performing field reviews during construction phases.


Qualification:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical, or Architectural Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; 3-10 years preferred.
  • Proven expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D modeling tools.
  • Strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to work independently.
  • Eager to learn and grow professionally.
  • Successful completion of the FE exam is preferred but not required at the time of hire.
