Job Description:

Summary:

Seeking an experienced and hands-on supervisor to lead transmission system operations, maintenance, training, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for overseeing vegetation management, equipment upkeep, physical security programs, budget tracking, and staff development for a regional power transmission organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise maintenance and training teams, including internal staff and contractors.

  • Manage $20M+ in contracted operations and maintenance work.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory bodies (e.g., PRC-005, FAC-003).

  • Oversee physical security measures and incident response planning.

  • Represent the organization in working groups related to transmission operations, testing, and security.

  • Support safety training programs and certification efforts for field personnel.

  • Coordinate with electric distribution systems and transmission system operators for routine and emergency operations.

  • Monitor and track budgets; approve and manage operational expenditures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).

  • 5-8 years of experience in the utility or energy industry, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.

  • Strong communication skills and project management capability.
