Summary:
Seeking an experienced and hands-on supervisor to lead transmission system operations, maintenance, training, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for overseeing vegetation management, equipment upkeep, physical security programs, budget tracking, and staff development for a regional power transmission organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise maintenance and training teams, including internal staff and contractors.
Manage $20M+ in contracted operations and maintenance work.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory bodies (e.g., PRC-005, FAC-003).
Oversee physical security measures and incident response planning.
Represent the organization in working groups related to transmission operations, testing, and security.
Support safety training programs and certification efforts for field personnel.
Coordinate with electric distribution systems and transmission system operators for routine and emergency operations.
Monitor and track budgets; approve and manage operational expenditures.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline).
5-8 years of experience in the utility or energy industry, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
Strong communication skills and project management capability.
