Position: Mechanical Engineer Req Location: Santa Clara, CA Duties: Identify and troubleshoot complex mechanical engineering problems. Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering test reports. Develop, design, or modify complex mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications. Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope. Create new design concepts for mechanical hardware that will meet the customers requirement on Process Chamber. Design review to ensure other cross-functional groups agreed prior to proceed next detail design. Perform FEA analysis, hand calculation and work with OEM suppliers for obtaining detail specification. Define boundary conditions for new design parts and ensure the new design parts can meet the temperature, chemical, plasma and vacuum pressure requirement. Perform root cause analysis for defect issues on a tested process chamber. Requirements: Masters degree (US or foreign) in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Design, and 3 years of industry experience in the position offered or related occupation. Demonstrate knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: Siemens NX 3D modeling; 2D detail drawing; ANSYS Finite Element Analysis (FEA); Design of vacuum chambers and modules for semiconductor wafer processing; Structural and thermal analysis using ANSYS for design validation; Flow analysis using CFD ACE; Detailed design of mechanical and electro mechanical systems including GD&T; High temperature pedestal design and electrostatic chuck design for wafer processing; Systems Engineering for chamber integration on to different mainframes; and Project management for chamber/system development.
