Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Vehicle Systems Engineering department supporting the integration of autonomous driving technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent collaboration abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $40-$44/hr.

What's the Job?

• Design electromechanical sensor assemblies while balancing requirements from multiple stakeholders.
• Create visual mockups, proofs of concept, and functional A-Samples to validate designs.
• Manage design and development activities for multiple internal and external suppliers.
• Oversee testing and validation processes for your systems to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing engineers to ramp production processes and meet build objectives.

What's Needed?

• BS in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience; automotive experience preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design; Catia V5/V6 experience preferred.
• Experience designing electronic modules in an automotive context.
• Strong understanding of automotive sensing modalities and integration challenges.
