Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

Location-Type: Onsite - Waltham, MA

Start Date Is: 2 weeks from offer

Duration: 6-month contract-to-hire

Compensation Range: $55-$70/hr

Role Overview:

Client is seeking a hands-on Sr. Electrical Engineer to support medical device development at its Waltham, MA location. You'll focus on electrical design documentation, board testing, and support regulatory compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Manage documentation backlog and regulatory prep
• Conduct board-level testing and diagnostics
• Collaborate with embedded and mechanical engineers
• Lead component selection and schematic design in Altium
• Troubleshoot issues with multi-controller systems
• Support production test equipment development

Must-Haves:

• 8+ years of electrical systems design experience
• Medical device or regulated industry experience
• Strong testing and documentation background
• Experience with microcontrollers and high-speed interfaces
• Altium and common comm protocols (SPI, I2C, CAN)

Soft Skills:

• Strong communicator in fast-paced, collaborative teams
• Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving ability

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with Python or LabView
• Class II/III medical device experience (IEC 60601 / 80601-2-77)
• Experience with EMI/EMC, shielding strategies, or BLDC motors
