Job Description:

6-12 months contract to direct

M-F / Onsite


The Electrical Engineer is responsible for reading electrical schematics and assembling detailed electrical drawings while ensuring code compliance and supporting installation processes.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Electrical Engineer license in the State of Michigan preferred
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and 2D AutoCAD
  • Experience using Revu Bluebeam and Microsoft Office programs

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with site photometrics and emergency lighting calculations
  • Knowledge of lighting controls and life safety systems
  • Ability to interpret and work from electrical engineering plans and wiring diagrams

Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering instructions
  • Assemble electrical drawings including power, lighting, and one-line diagrams
  • Perform reviews of engineering plans to verify compliance with electrical codes and specifications
  • Develop and maintain electrical design and material specifications
  • Approve submittals associated with design packages
  • Document testing results, operational logs, and corrective actions taken
  • Provide field support during installation and resolve engineering-related issues
  • Maintain accurate records of schematics, equipment, and installation documentation
