About the Team

Talos Engineering is made up of dedicated and passionate individuals who take pride in their

About the Role

A Mechanical Engineer in this role will design conveyors at a part and system level. This includes 3D modeling of conveyors, their components, as well as creating detailed drawings of parts. At this level, you may lead projects where others report to you. You are expected to be the source of customer specifications. Being proficient in AutoCAD and Inventor is needed to create complex designs that may need analysis.


In this role, you will

Design, develop, and test all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.

Apply knowledge of engineering principles to design products.

May be involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.

May lead and direct the work of others.

Create and maintain CAD files.

Work with production to make drawing corrections and drawing refinements.

Work with sales to extract the required info to achieve customers' needs.

Apply customer's specifications for new and existing designs.



Requirements:

Have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 6-10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Are familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Perform a variety of complicated tasks.

Have a wide degree of creativity and latitude.

Are experienced with Autodesk AutoCAD Mechanical.

Are experienced with Autodesk Inventor.

Are experienced creating shop fabrication drawings for parts, weldments, and assemblies.

Are experienced with Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).

Can meet deadlines, even if it requires extra hours.

Are proficient with customers' specifications.
