Overview

We are hiring a Process Engineer with a strong background in mechanical systems and Lean Manufacturing to join our production team. This position is ideal for an engineer experienced in process improvement, equipment optimization, and data-driven manufacturing. You will play a critical role in increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and supporting continuous improvement across high-volume manufacturing lines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Use mechanical engineering expertise and Six Sigma tools to troubleshoot and optimize production processes.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to lead process improvement and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct statistical analysis using tools like DOE (Design of Experiments) and SPC (Statistical Process Control) to improve product quality and reduce variation.
  • Support equipment installation, commissioning, and performance validation in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Create, update, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for production processes and equipment.
  • Lead and participate in Kaizen events, root cause analysis (RCA), and CAPA investigations.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Safety, and R&D teams.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, SQF, and food safety regulations (if applicable).
  • Recommend, test, and implement new tools, systems, or machinery for improved manufacturing performance.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering or production process engineering.
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and Minitab or other statistical analysis tools.
  • Solid experience with process troubleshooting, technical documentation, and data analysis.
  • Experience in food manufacturing or regulated production environments is a plus.
  • Strong project management and cross-functional communication skills.
