Description

Purpose of this Job:

  • This job is responsible for developing product in compliance with Sanden and customer requirements
  • This role will include compressor development, design, testing, and reporting

Requirements

Principle Duties/Essential Functions:

  • Execute product development activities by achieving technical goals
  • Complete engineering design / testing / development tasks
  • Develop working knowledge for Sanden product, testing facility and entire automotive air conditioning system

Other Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to internal customers
  • Other projects as assigned by management
  • Write engineering reports for internal and external customers
  • Prepare technical data for presentation material for internal and external customers
  • Support for other internal Sanden projects
  • Responsible for awareness and compliance with company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Contributing to the effectiveness of the EHS policies and procedures by communicating and reporting unsafe conditions and/or non-compliances.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (BSME preferred)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Basic knowledge of current computer technology and applications such as CAD, CAE and MS Office applications
  • Good communication skills with internal customers
  • Hands on with vehicle and test equipment

Licenses or Certifications:

  • EPA-608, EPA-609 are desired

Physical Demands:

  • Routine lifting of 25 lb. loads (compressors) may be necessary
  • Possible exposure to high noise levels
  • Possible exposure to chemicals (oils, refrigerants, solvents)
  • Exposure to environmental temperatures 30 - 110 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and be able to prioritize workloads

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

  • PPE may be required based on specific projects

Work Environment/Hours:

  • Primary work area is in an office setting as well as lab environment
  • Must work normal office hours plus provide support on evenings and weekend (as needed)

Travel Requirements:

  • 0 - 10% domestic
  • 0 - 5% international to countries such as but not limited to Japan, Mexico
