Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III

Locations: Houston, TX 77079

Duration: 12 Months (with possible extensions)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of compressor station and metering facility projects. This role will ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations while managing third-party engineering deliverables, budgets, and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define scope, schedule, and budget for mechanical designs.
• Oversee third-party engineering firms and review technical deliverables.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve constructability issues.
• Evaluate vendor quotes and recommend selections.
• Apply lessons learned to future projects and support quality initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
• 7+ years of engineering experience (natural gas design experience preferred).
• Strong knowledge of CFR 192 and related codes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment:

• 80% office, 20% field work including project scoping and construction support.
