GPY+ Associates Engineering Inc. provides comprehensive mechanical consulting design services for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings and facilities. Incorporated in 2004, the firm has vast experience in new and renovation projects, energy studies, commissioning, and contract administration. Our expertise encompasses the design of HVAC systems, plumbing and drainage systems, sprinkler and fire protection systems, and building automation control systems (BAS). We are LEED-accredited and knowledgeable in sustainable building design, with notable projects such as the LEED Platinum certified Chapelview Apartments in Brampton.


Role Description

This is a full-time position, and responsibilities include design and development of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. The role involves coordination with architect, clients and the design team, telephone calls and emails with the team, review and mentoring of junior staff. The candidate will work closely with clients and architectural/ design consultants to provide innovative solutions while adhering to budgetary constraints.


Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering for building services
  • Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
  • Strong Project Management capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting
  • Familiarity with sustainable and LEED design principles is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is preferred
