This Direct-Hire opportunity is for a skilled mechanical engineer to join a growing team in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Your engineering skills will directly contribute to innovation, efficiency, and quality.
The qualified Mechanical Design Engineer candidate will have strong 3D CAD skills and experience in mass production equipment design to support our production and maintenance teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and set up new production fixtures and machines
- Provide technical support to Mechanical Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams
- Investigate, design, purchase, and build machinery, jigs, and tooling
- Develop equipment that ensures high product quality and consistent cycle times
- Modify and implement design changes to improve equipment performance
- Support new model additions and existing production equipment
- Research and develop new production methods (R&D)
- Assist in reducing equipment downtime and provide training as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally across engineering and non-engineering teams
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience designing machinery and tooling in a mass production environment
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo preferred)
- Solid understanding of basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Basic computer hardware knowledge
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent training/experience
- 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing design experience
- 3+ years of 3D CAD software use
