Electrical Engineer

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Electrical Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
- Prepare concept/basic/detailed design and construction documents related to Electrical Engineering.
- Design MCC/switchgear, transformers, Remote Instrument Enclosures, and Building power systems.
- Set relays settings, perform Fault Current Analysis, Load Flow, Load Studies, and Arc Flash Studies, using ETAP or SKM.
- Replace relays from ABB to SEL's in two 12.47kV/4160V substations.
- Conduct material research, produce BOM, compile data for projects, and assist on vendor coordination.
- Add transformers to different systems, from 12.47kV to 4160V, or 480V.
- Add MCC sections, starter buckets, or outdoor starters to Switch racks.
Requirements:
The Electrical Engineer (Engineering Specialist) requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
- 10+ Years of Experience
- BS in Electrical Engineering
- Professional License (Electrical) in the state of Texas
- Strong experience with ETAP or SKM Electrical Power System Analysis software
- Experience with power distribution and subsystems including, 15KV.
- Demonstrated experience in technical execution on both FEL/FEED and EPC projects in the chemical and petrochemical industry.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-motivating, self-managing individual
Working conditions are as follows:
- Position Type: Full-Time
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Overtime: Occasionally (Straight time rate)
- Range: Permanent
- Travel: Up to 10%
