The Facilities Electrical Engineer is an experienced individual who will support the facilities engineering team. This role will be to support the technical team through electrical equipment updates, repairs, design, and specification. The responsibilities for this role include providing schedules, reports, & presentations to department and company leadership.


Responsibilities:

• Apply Electrical and Facilities engineering expertise in business planning operations.

• Support Facility Operations with electrical equipment design and specification.

• Apply analytical and troubleshooting skills to minimize mean time to recovery.

• Determine and prioritize project tasks and develop project schedule and timelines to achieve project's final goals on time and within budget.

• Manage and maintain documentation for the site electrical systems.

• Communicate critical updates to site system operators.

• Support training of Facility Associates on enhancements to operations related to controls and mechanical/electrical systems.

• Work with departments outside of facilities on planned and unplanned projects requiring electrical equipment modification to help improve production process, equipment efficiency, safety, reliability, and delivery.

• Assure that building electrical systems meet capacity and reliability requirements of the customer.

• Manage testing, planning, and maintenance of 40-100 MVA electrical distribution system from 69 kV to 120 V.

• Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL).

• Lead and/or support in the bidding, evaluation, and selection process of contractors for the design and construction phase of a project.

• Review, verify and approve engineering/design drawings at the various design completion levels.


Education/Experience:

• 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

• 0 to 3+ years of relevant working experience in Electrical Engineering.


Required Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of: National Electrical Code (NFPA 70); Electrical power distribution components and systems

• Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)

• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement systems

• Work effectively in a general business environment, with a focus on prominent levels of quality and customer service

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Positive attitude, open minded, and team player

• Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills

• Proficient with Auto CAD and / or Revit software

• Prompt and regular attendance within our onsite operations

• Flexibility to work adjusted shifts, as necessary


Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

• Korean language proficiency is a plus


Additional requirements:

• This role could require up to 10% of travel (domestic or international)
